How to get your skin prepped for summer

Summer is right around the corner, so now is the perfect time to be getting your skin ready for the change in seasons. The summer season means warmer and more humid temperatures, so it’s important that your skin is ready for the change. To help you achieve beautiful skin that you can feel confident in all summer long, follow our top tips for a healthy complexion.

1. Stay hydrated

It might seem the most obvious step, but it’s essential that even if you drink plenty of water normally, you should still increase your water intake with the warmer months. Being out in the sun and living a more active lifestyle can take a toll on your hydration, and on your skin. Water is the best natural detoxifier, helping to flush impurities out and keep your skin moisturised from the inside out.

2. Vitamins, vitamins, vitamins

We love vitamins for the incredible impact they have on our skin, and with their anti-inflammatory properties, they’re great for keeping your skin looking plump and bright. Vitamins A, C and E all act as antioxidants, which can give your complexion a natural boost, so that’s why they’re an integral part of our Vitamin Infusion facial. One of the most effective ways to pack your skin full of vitamins, the facial uses our sonophoresis machine to push the vitamins deep into your skin for best results.

3. Exfoliate

Getting rid of dead skin cells and impurities that lie on the skin’s surface is a great way to achieve healthy, glowing skin, so exfoliating should be a regular part of your skincare routine, particularly in the summer months. We tend to sweat more in the warmer weather, which can clog up pores leading to congestion in the skin. Exfoliating helps to clear out these impurities, leaving you with clean, refreshed skin that you can feel confident in.
