What French women use to wash their face

French women look effortlessly beautiful, their complexions hydrated but never oily. So what’s their secret? Well as we discovered, French women swear on micellar water.

So what is micellar water?

The small particles present in micellar water are ‘micelles’. These clusters of fatty-acid esters work like a miniature sponge, cleaning up dirt and makeup while hydrating your skin. Micellar water rose to popularity in France due to the notoriously hard water in Paris and the need for something gentler on the skin. A lot gentler compared to makeup wipes, this should be your main skincare product when it comes to removing makeup. We recommend applying in the evening to refresh and cleanse your skin. Simply squirt onto a cotton pad and wipe it over your skin and eyelids.
