How to look good without makeup - tips from our therapists

There’s no denying we love dressing up, looking glam and wearing beautiful makeup, but now and again it pays to give your skin a rest and return to our au naturale roots. This month our therapists took the challenge to go makeup free, and here they share their beauty tips for clean, clear skin that won’t need dressing up.

Toneya: My skin tip is that I use a combination of actives everyday including Vitamin A. Did you know that vitamin A increases your cell metabolism therefore coaching your skin into acting younger! I use our Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum which keeps my skin looking smooth and even so that I’m confident in my skin everyday with or without make-up!

Paula: Know your skin and how to look after it. Cleanse morning and night, SPF daily, eye cream and a good night moisturiser are the best basic products to have to maintain your skin.

Annie: My skin tip is having monthly lactic peels to exfoliate by removing dead skin cells and stimulating hyaluronic acid to hydrate which leaves my skin refined and glowing make up free!

Annabel: My skin tip is exfoliating! Whether it’s in the form of a chemical exfoliant (AHA’s & BHA’s) in your daily serum, or using a manual granular exfoliant once to twice a week. They are essential for removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, this allows healthy new cells to shine and give your skin a smooth & glowing appearance. Exfoliants also aid in decongesting the skin and reducing scarring. This is how I keep my skin looking rejuvenated and healthy without feeling the need to wear makeup!

Fran: My skin tip is to take extra care of your periorbital area, did you know that the skin around your eyes is 10 x thinner than the rest of your face, this makes it way more vulnerable to UV damage and external nasties. I alternate vitamins C & A in my day and night routine to give my eyes a firmer more brighter appearance.
