All you need to know about Laser Genesis
Back to blog home 15th February 2019
Good for all skin types, our Laser Genesis treatment is a non-ablative way to increase collagen production by stimulating a thermal injury. Nicknamed the 'Hollywood' treatment, it's fast becoming the secret of celebrities as the alternative to botox!
What happens during a Laser Genesis Treatment?
Small areas of the skin are heated to the optimal temperatures of 41 - 44 degrees, in order to stimulate new collagen formation (neocollagenesis).
What does the Laser Genesis treatment do?
Results can last for up to 6 months, and the Laser Genesis treatment is great for
- Reducing diffused redness
- Smoothing the appearance of fine lines
- Reducing hyperpigmentation
- Reducing the appearance of mottled and uneven skin tones
- Reducing rosacea
- Reducing scarring
Does it hurt?
Although the process does involve heating the skin, the treatment feels like warm raindrops, and is relatively pain-free.
Is there any downtime after the treatment?
No, unlike with other treatments no skin is removed during the process so there is no downtime and you should start to notice the results straight away. However, the more treatments you have, the more you'll notice the integrity of your skin improving.
How often should I have Laser Genesis treatments?
We recommend a minimum of six treatments, in order to achieve lasting results, and there is no maximum number of treatments you can have. The more treatments you have, the longer the results will last and the better your skin will feel!
