The Powerhouse Facial: A-Zyme Peel

Concerned about ageing skin? Our A-Zyme Peel is a fast acting, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that will diminish fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone and improve overall skin luminosity. It's the powerhouse of non-invasive facials!

The Powerhouse Facial: A-Zyme Peel

Who is it suited for?
The A-Zyme Peel is compatible with most skin types, however, it is not suitable for women who are pregnant or lactating.

Results
Specifically, the A-Zyme Peel will tackle:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Loss of firmness
• Dull, dry skin lacking in radiance
• Congestion
• Hyperpigmentation

Hero ingredients
The A-Zyme peel features 1% Retinol and 6% Bromelain.

Bromelain
Clinical studies have shown Bromelain to be a powerful enzyme, commercially obtained from the stem of the pineapple plant, to be highly effective in exfoliating and removing surface residue. This enzyme acts like a 'Pac man' eating away dead skin cells. Pineapple pickers in Hawaii started to lose their fingerprints and that's how it was discovered.

Retinol
Retinol is Vitamin A that stimulates Hyaluronic Acid production, helping to regulate oil flow and increases cell turnover.

How long is a treatment?
The A-Zyme peel can stay on your skin for up to 10 mins depending on comfort. Most clients describe their skin feeling 'active' while the peel is on.

After treatment care
Two days after the A-Zyme peel you may likely experience peeling and flaking.

You should be using their baseline Ultraceuticals products for 4-5 days after the peel. These include:

Cleanser (Chosen for your skin type) B2 Hydrating Serum. Because your skin may peel after the treatment, we recommend the Ultraceuticals B2 to keep your skin feeling hydrated and comfortable. This serum contains pure Hyaluronic Acid to draw up to 1000x its weight in water into your skin and helps to reinstate your lipid barrier post peeling.

Moisturiser (Ultra Moisturising range chosen for your skin type)

And most importantly, an SPF. After any Ulraceuticals cosmeceutical peel it is vital that all clients are wearing the best in UVA and UVB protection. The Ultra 30+ Protective Daily Moisturiser is the best and will keep your skin protected from the sun when your skin is more vulnerable. It is essential for 4-5 days post peel and then everyday in between your appointments to keep your skin in the best condition for your next treatment.

What products to avoid after an A-Zyme
We advise anyone receiving an A-zyme peel to avoid all active products in their homecare for 4-5 days post peel. These includes AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin A (Retinol) and any manual types of exfoliation. We also recommend that you do not participate in any peels or Microdermabrasion for two weeks post peel.

What products to use long term in conjunction with the A-Zyme facial?
We would recommend that you have a fully personalised skin care plan written for you by one of our skin specialists before starting your A-Zyme journey to ensure that your skin’s lipid barrier is stable and ready for the peel. Recommended course: We recommend a course of 4-6 A-Zyme peels to see optimal results.
