PHAs fall under the AHA family. They are a much larger sized molecule compared to more common AHAs like glycolic and lactic acids, they do not penetrate as deeply into the skin as they work on the outer layers of the skin.

Your PHA Refine and Hydrate treatment will begin with a deep cleanse created by Ultraceuticals to ensure that your skin has been thoroughly prepared for the treatment. This is followed by an in-depth skin analysis to ascertain whether your skin is appropriate for the treatment and any areas of concern.
The PHA refining solution will be on your skin for up to 10 minutes. The peel is removed with soothing cool water, and it is normal to experience a warm sensation on your skin as the PHA stimulates the blood flow and oxygen in your skin. A warm towel is then placed over the face and neck. Followed by a relaxing massage with an Ultraceuticals mask specific to your skin and finished with day or night products applied.
