The A-Zyme Peel can stay on your skin for up to 10 mins depending on comfort. Most clients describe their skin feeling ‘active’ while the peel is on.
The A-Zyme Peel features 1% Retinol and 6% Bromelain.
Clinical studies have shown Bromelain to be a powerful enzyme, commercially obtained from the stem of the pineapple plant, to be highly effective in exfoliating and removing surface residue. Retinol is Vitamin A that stimulates Hyaluronic Acid production, helping to regulate oil flow and increases cell turnover. By increasing the cell turnover in the skin this will increase the production of collagen while also preventing the degradation of collagen.
We recommend a course of four to six A-Zyme Peels to see optimal results.
Two days after the A-Zyme Peel you may likely experience peeling and flaking. You should start using your baseline Ultraceuticals products four to five days after the peel.
We advise anyone receiving an A-Zyme Peel to avoid all active products in their home care for four to five days post a peel. These products includes AHA’s, BHA’s, Vitamin A (Retinol) and any manual types of exfoliation. We also recommend that you do not participate in any peels or Microdermabrasion for two weeks post peel.
