The Brazilian wax is an extended bikini waxing treatment that removes hair from the entire pubic region apart from a small patch just above the pubic bone, commonly dubbed the ‘landing strip’. This is a very intimate type of waxing and will only be performed after careful consultation. How closely you trim, shave or wax your pubic hair is a personal preference. You should do whatever makes you comfortable whether it’s a bare look or a more natural look. We will assist you personally whether you are doing this for the first time or you are a seasoned Brazilian.
After your first waxing the results can last 4 to 7 weeks depending on your hair re-growth rate and season. The hotter seasons tend to encourage faster re-growth rates compared to the colder seasons therefore your hair grows quicker during summer. In most cases you will see minimal hair re-growth during the first 3 weeks with noticeable increases there onwards. Continued waxing encourages sparse hair re-growth.
The wax used for this procedure is a combination of strip cool wax and non-strip hot wax. Strip cool wax is applied to the hair to be removed. It adheres to a calico wax strip applied over the top and removed quickly taking the underlying hair. Non-strip hot wax is applied to the hair to be removed, it “shrink-wraps” around the hairs, and is pulled off after it dries. The wax is made for sensitive skin, so it’s great for bikini / Brazilian waxing. While waxing, it’s best to pull the skin tight so you may be asked to help stabilise an area with your hand especially when towards the middle of the labia where there’s no firm bone or muscle underneath. We’ll do as much as possible and also assist your position to allow us to wax in the gluteal crease if necessary. After the hairs are removed we apply a soothing solution containing Tee Tree & Lanolin to calm and nourish the skin.
That depends on 2 factors; a) strength of hair and b) skin sensitivity. In most cases we will do it so quickly you won’t have the time to feel anything. Some women don’t even know we’ve started. We find that most clients are pleasantly surprised that it is not a big deal after all. Our use of premium Lycon wax does help reduce your skin sensitivity.
