Scent has a real influence over how we feel, think and behave. Certain essential oils can help prevent stress, insomnia, depressed moods and anxiety, and can even reduce pain and increase memory and attentiveness. While we all tend to think of aromatherapy as something that is designed to relax and pamper us, essential aromatherapy oils have a much more significant impact on our health and our skin. Lavender has calming properties that help control emotional stress and has a soothing effect on nerves, relieving nervous tension and depression as well as treating headaches and migraines. We love a bit of lavender love before bed to help us drift off into a deep and rested sleep. Like lavender, jasmine is also used to calm nerves, but this scent is also commonly used as an antidepressant because of its uplifting capabilities that produce a feeling of confidence, optimism, and revitalised energy. Yay to Jasmine! We have put together a list of the top five essential oils for your skin. You can find these oils in some of the Ultraceuticals we use in our clinic. The essential oils Ultraceuticals use are 100% natural which means you get the full benefit of the oil.
