3 Ways to Keep Your Skin Hydrated

When it comes to keeping your skin hydrated, the obvious solution is to drink enough water. But every body is different, and drinking enough water may not be enough to keep it totally hydrated. Follow our 3 easy steps (and keep drinking water!) for skin that glows.

Moisturise immediately after showering

Applying moisturiser while your skin is still damp is a great way to ensure that the product will be fully absorbed by your body, locking in moisture. Remember that moisturiser is not designed to sit on the skin, but to be fully absorbed, so always ensure you’re applying the product to damp not dry skin for best results.

Exfoliate from top to toe

Build up of dead skin cells can actually prevent moisture from being absorbed by the skin, so take extra care to exfoliate all over the body. Removing the dead skin cells will also reveal younger, healthier skin beneath, which will help you to achieve a glowing complexion. Remember to moisturise straight afterwards, as this is the best opportunity for the product to be fully absorbed!

Use a serum

Even if you drink 2 litres of water a day, your skin can still look and feel dry. Using an intensive skin serum will help to lock in moisture, and the smaller molecules found in the products can penetrate deeply into the skin – deeper than your average moisturiser!
